Two goals either side of half time from Dylan Hart, Elliott Hartley, Kyle Belmonte and Jamie Insall secured a fourteenth consecutive win for the Hellenic League Premier Champions, and secured the bragging rights locally for a number of the players and supporters in a fairly one-sided affair at Sixways Stadium.
Over 2,000 match tickets were eventually sold for the fixture, another fantastic spectacle of local Worcester football as City made it five wins from five, four as the home team and one win as the visitors in August, at Sixways this season.
Liam Lockett returned to the starting eleven after missing Saturday's FA Vase Semi Final Second Leg, with Kirk Layton also returning to partner Elliott Keightley at the heart of the City back line.
It didn't take long for City to create their first chance of the evening. Skipper Mace swung in a corner after three minutes which found Dylan Hart unmarked from six yards, but his goalward header cannoned back off the crossbar and was eventually scrambled away by the Raiders defence.
Hart would make amends ten minutes later however by grabbing the first goal of the game. Slipped in behind by Lockett, he smashed his left-footed effort past Raiders keeper Behan and into the back of the net. Two in two for Hart.
It was close to two minutes later, when Belmonte thought he'd beaten the offside trap as he smashed a right-footed drive into the bottom corner, but the linesman's flag was up and Kyle was deemed offside. Hart then almost had a second from another Mace corner, but his header was wide.
The second of the night came just two minutes before the break. Elliott Hartley, with what is now becoming almost a trademark finish, cut in from the right hand side to the edge of the area and drove his left-footed effort low and into the bottom corner, giving Behan no chance and sending City into the break two up, and in cruise control.
Into the second half and The Faithful seemed to be enjoying their night under the lights, serenading Sixways with renditions of 'We Are The Champions' and 'Ole'-ing each pass as City continued to dominate. Hart was close to doubling his personal tally on the night when picked out with a perfect cross from Adam Mace, but his header just crept wide of the Raiders post.
Shortly before the hour though, the game was all but wrapped up for the hosts. After a good spell of pressure, the ball dropped to Belmonte, who swept home left footed with the ball kissing the underside of the crossbar on it's way into the back of the net. A fantastic reward for Belmonte with the City supporters showing their love for their number 10 in the celebrations.
With the points secured City rung the changes with 20 minutes to go and it was one of the second half substitutes, Jamie Insall, who got the fourth. A sublime Adam Mace cross from deep on the left flank found Insall alone after some excellent movement just six yards out, and with good connection first time on the delivery he couldn't miss, side footing past Behan to get his goal.
A derby win and another three points secured in front of another busy Sixways crowd to send The Faithful home happy and with bragging rights secured for the season. Next up is another home fixture, this one at Claines Lane, against Mangotsfield on Thursday, another 7.45pm kick off for City.
