"Find out more about our shot stopper"

In our next "Get to Know", we ask our questions to Adam Harrison.

Briefly tells us about your career in football to date, your first memories, Clubs you have played for and your biggest moment in the game so far ?

So I started playing football when I was 5/6, was always playing it at school then joined a local team when I was about 7.

Started off as a centre half then was chucked in goal for one game and there was a couple scouts there so it just stuck! Then joined Leicester City when I was 8 and was at the Club for over ten years before being released.

I then went and joined Bedworth United and after a short spell there I joined Tividale before moving here.

One of my proudest moments on the pitch was definitely playing abroad representing Leicester. Went to play in cup competitions in Qatar, Germany, Ireland and France was a great experience.

We see you have gained your UEFA B goalkeeping licence and working alongside a Legend in Eric Steele, how was the course and what are your plans moving forward?

My UEFA B goalkeeping course was a great challenge. Being a goalkeeper all my life I thought the coaching side would be easy but it really isn’t. The role of a GK coach has expanded massively over the last 10 years. Having Eric Steele be my assessor was amazing. I remember when he came and evaluated my first session, I thought I was doing pretty well, He then stepped in and shown me how he would of coached the situation and I just thought to myself.......that’s the standard now.

Which footballer(s) did you look up to growing up ?

Being a keeper I looked up to the likes of Casillas and Neuer. Both amazing at what they do. Casillas is only just 6 foot as well so he was a massive inspiration to me as I always thought if he can do it at the highest of levels then anyone can.

For Neuer the way he commands his half (would usually say box but he commands everywhere) is absolutely ridiculous. One of the best shot stoppers ever. Training with Schmicheal everyday and seeing how he does it as well he has to be up there

Which team, (apart from City of course ), do you support?

I support Leicester City, unfortunately not the best at the moment but hopefully will pick up again soon!

Worst dressed player ?

Worst dressed has to be Billy. That shirt he wore on the night out was absolutely honking

Teachers pet ?

Teachers pet Robbo has to be up there. Loves a chat with the Gaffa

Biggest joker in the squad?

Biggest joker.... there’s a few in there but biggest one is either Billy or Robbo.
