The Blue And Whites hit the road on Saturday for the final time this season to take on playoff chasing Lye Town in Midland Football League action.
Lye Town currently sit second in the league standings, just 3 points off Walsall Wood who occupy top spot, having won 21 games this season. Lye closed the gap on Saturday with a comfortable 4-0 win over Uttoxeter Town, whilst Walsall Wood suffered defeat to Whitchurch Alport. It looks set to be a tough tie for the Blue And Whites who had Saturday's home game vs Highgate United postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
A victory for City on Saturday, or if Uttoxeter Town fail to win, could mathematically see The Blue And Whites safe from the drop. It's a tough run in for The Blue And Whites with a Bank Holiday Monday home tie vs Romulus, before hosting Atherstone Town, Stone Old Alleynians and a rearranged fixture vs Highgate United still to squeeze in to the schedule.
Kick off is 3pm.
