Worcester City FC’s Community Coaching Team, proudly sponsored by WPA Healthcare, recently visited Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell as part of the club’s Community Outreach Programme, supported by CARS Service Centre.
The visit saw coaches Tally and Webby engage with Year 4, 5, and 6 students in an action-packed day filled with football, laughter, and teamwork. The sessions were designed to promote physical activity and build camaraderie among students, striking the perfect balance of skill development, friendly competition, and inclusive fun.
The day kicked off with energetic warm-up drills and icebreakers, followed by lessons in ball control and techniques that the students could use in gameplay. The event concluded with a friendly penalty shootout and small-scale matches, ensuring every child had a chance to shine on the pitch.
One of the highlights of the day was the participation of students who don’t typically play football outside of school. Their enthusiasm and involvement were a testament to the welcoming environment created by the coaches, making football accessible and enjoyable for all.
Headteacher Mr. D Butler expressed his gratitude for the visit, saying: "On Friday 17th Tudor Grange Perdiswell were visited by the coaches from Worcester City FC, who delivered a jam-packed day of football fun.
"The children of Perdiswell are generally football-mad, with many children playing for local teams and many regularly supporting Worcester City FC at matches. Still, even the reluctant footballers got involved and had a fantastic time due to the excellent coaching that they were able to experience.
"I want to extend a huge thank you to Worcester City FC for giving up their time to come and support their local schools, it was a fantastic day and the children are still buzzing about it!"
