Worcester City FC Youth Roundup

We’re delighted to bring you the latest updates from our youth teams after another action-packed weekend of football.

U14 JPL A – County Cup Quarter-Final
Worcester City 3-2 Newtown Sports

City battled through tough conditions to secure a place in the County Cup semi-finals with a gritty 3-2 victory. The first half was scrappy, with the poor pitch making it difficult to play flowing football. After falling behind early, City struggled to break through, but a tactical shift in the second half paid off.

Increased pressure and direct play led to an equaliser as James pounced on a spilled shot from the Newtown keeper. City then took control, with composed finishes from Dexter and Amir putting them 3-1 up. A late deflected own goal made for a tense finish, but the boys held firm to claim a well-earned win.

A tough lesson, but the boys will bounce back stronger.
