On Saturday the girls took on Halas Hawks. From the first minute the girls looked sharp and focused. Throughout the game, the football was fantastic with some superb passing and dribbling on display.
All of their hard work in training paid off as they challenged for every ball and made sure they pressured every free ball.
The first half saw lots of attacking football and goals from Laila, Sophie and Ruby ensured that the girls went into half time positive.
In the second half, the girls continued their attacking football and showed their team spirit by encouraging each other throughout.
Halas scored a lovely goal, which was well finished.
Mia also made a save from the penalty spot to make sure she continued her important contribution in every game.
Further goals from Eva, Meg C and Laila ensured the game finished positively.
A big shout out to Ava who had her best game with some important tackles and accurate passing.

Laila - her calmness and vision when on the ball ensured that WCFC had a positive outcome. Every time she had the ball, she looked to create an opportunity for her team.
