Yesterday saw the girls start their league campaign against a strong Meadow Park side.
After a slow start, WCFC saw themselves 2-0 down early on. Eva scored to make it 2-1, but Meadow Park attacked well, and scored another 2, before Eva added to her tally to make it 4-2 at the break.
Following an honest team talk at half time, the girls came out sharper, more hungry and determined to improve on their first half performance. Goals from Indie and a superb long-range effort from Eva to complete her hat-trick, ensured the game was going to have a tense finish. The second half performance was excellent and the girls showed their willingness to improve.
The game was a tough opening game to the season, but the girls stood up to the challenge.
Final Score
