City remain undefeated

Wyre Forest 2 - WCFC 2
The girls took on a much improved Wyre Forest this weekend. Despite the early start, WCFC came out of the blocks quickly. The opening 5 minutes saw the girls chasing every loose ball, pressurising the opposition.
Wyre Forest grew into the game and began to play some nice football, putting together some dangerous attacks.
WCFC had a great chance to take the lead, when Indie played a lovely through ball to Birmo who missed the goal by inches.
The game was end-to-end, with both teams having chances. Wyre Forest took the lead just before half time, with WCFC switching off for a brief moment. Throughout the first half Mia was on top form, saving shots and playing as a sweeper keeper.
After a stern half time team talk, the girls started brightly again. However, it was Wyre Forest who scored again, capitalising on a lose ball.
This fired up the girls who then took the game to the opposition. Ruby had a golden chance to score, but the keeper pulled off a brilliant save.
In the final 10 minutes, WCFC threw everything at Wyre Forest. Eva pulled a goal back, which gave the team hope. Then, in the final few minutes Eva scored again to take her tally to 10 for the season. The game ended 2-2. One of the best games we have seen. A credit to the girls and coaches. An enjoyable yet nerve wracking match. Thank to Wyre Forest for providing an excellent mornings football
Player of the match: Mia. She kept the girls in the game with her bravery and shot stoping.
