Match report by Mark Andrews

With heavy rain during the night and despite amazing efforts from the parents to sweep and drain the water, the pitch more resembled a swimming pool then a football pitch, making it really tough for the City boys in the opening exchanges.

P.S Olympic started brighter taking full advantage of the boys slow start to score 1st, but the boys in blue rolled up their sleeves and hit back through Alf after good work from Marcel had allowed him the space to shoot, before another trademark Marcel corner was attacked superbly by Ethan as the momentum of the game was quickly shifting into City's favour.

Alf swiftly added his 2nd, before firing a great effort at goal that the keeper could only parry onto the line, with Ethan reacting quickest to poke his 2nd home to put the boys in full control.

Alf completed his hattrick, before Oscar reacted quickest to a loose ball to thump a great effort goalwards that squeezed through the keepers legs to complete a fantastic 1st half come back.

The 2nd half started with Zayne chasing every ball and working superbly for his team and getting his rewards when Ethans effort rebounded into his path for him to fire home his 1st of the game. Olympic then pulled one back after a slight misunderstanding in the City backline saw Oscar slot home a nice finish into his own net, but Marcel quickly fired home as the boys looked to be managing the difficult conditions superbly.

Logan was next on the scoresheet, combining excellently with Marcel on the left hand side before driving into the box to fire home on a tight angle, Marcel then arrowed a fantastic effort past the keeper, before a smart move from Olympic caught the City defence knapping, but the game was finished off in style as Oscar's clever through ball sent Marcel clear to fire a super effort passed the keeper.

Really tough conditions for the City boys today, the pitch made it really tough for them to pass the ball quickly, but the lads adapted really well to manage and control the game after Olympics early goal.

All the lads put in another great performance today, Chris had little to do, but did everything really well, Oscar came on to steady the ship 1st half and scored with a great effort, Alf instigated the come back with his goals and driving runs through the puddles, Logan gave the team energy 2nd half and scored with a fantastic effort, Ethan was pivotal in the 1st half recovery, linking up well with the boys and again scoring from a Marcel corner, Marcel lead the line superbly, clocking up another corner assist and striking the ball superbly for his 3 goals, but man of match today goes to Zayno, his performance today clearly shows me he is listening and understanding what I'm asking, showing amazing effort to chase and battle for every ball, holding the ball up superbly to bring his team mates into play and got his rewards early in the 2nd halfs by staying alert to bury the crumbs from Ethans effort.
