Match report by Mark Andrews

With all the rain during the night the groundsmen were in early today to get the pitch in the best possible condition for the City superstars as they entertained Trysull F.C in a Stourbridge league fixture.

It started a little unfortunately with a long clearance picking up pace off the wet surface and somehow evading poor Chris to give Trysull a surprising early goal.

Chris was clearly upset, but the feeling didn't last long as Ethan showed great feet and awareness to square it across the box for Marcel, who had the time and space to take a touch and pick his spot to bring the boys back into the game. Ethan quickly added a 2nd with a super individual turn and finish, before Marcel raced clear to blast another past the keeper as Alf and Ethan exchanged assists to put the boys in control with Zayne putting the cherry on top by prodding home another on the stroke of half time.

Everyone always remembers the goal scorers, but some of the football that lead to the goals and chances was well above their years, always playing to space and showing a really good understanding of how the game should be played, was so pleasing to watch.

Logan started the 2nd half looking really hungry, picking the ball up by the left hand corner flag, he seemed surprised at the lack of pressure on the ball and carried it unopposed into the box before sending a great effort into the roof of the net, then moments later he not only showed great desire to get in front of his marker but also in front of his own team mate, to finish off a super delivery from Marcel that hit the bar and post before dropping into the net. Oscar then set Marcel up to complete his hattrick, before the latter sent Alf clear to calmly slot in the corner and Oscar finished it all off by smashing Alf's pass into the top corner to end a great day at the office for the boys.

9 ... Chris - Poor boy, was really hard on himself for the 1st goal, but recovered superbly to put in a great performance, communicating really well with his team mates in front of him.

9 ... Oscar - Took no prisoners in the tackle and started really positivity to get 3 shots off in the 1st half, played some great diagonal balls and got his goal with a great finish at the end.

9 ... Logan - Made some super passing decisions, while always talking to the lads around him and had a fantastic 10 minutes in the 2nd half to grab a quick fire double.

9 ... Marcel - So consistent, linked up superbly and delivered some super balls and crosses as well 3 great strikes to complete his hattrick.

9 ... Zayne - So close to being m.o.m today, from where he started his development has been massive, coming on in leaps and bounds, showed great hold up and passing and was so unlucky not to of racked up a couple of assists, but got his goal and showed he's improving every week with another great performance today.

10 ... Man of the Match - Ethan - His 1st half performance was as good as I have seen from him, great skills and confidence, making some great passing decisions as well as knitting the play together really well.
