Match report by Mark Andrews

Fantastic effort off the boys tonight, despite kiddy scoring 2 early goals, they upped their work rate to put more pressure on the ball, controlled the transitions and showed moments of great quality and energy to maximise some great decision making.

It was a slow start, the spaces were too big, making it too easy for Kiddy to play from back to front and despite the boys having possession and some really good chances, Kiddy looked dangerous on the counter.

Massive credit to the boys though they pressed, marked and made some great recovery runs to quicly shift the momentum of the game and ended the 1st third in good spirts thanks to some great goals from Marcel & Alf.

The 2nd 15 minutes the boys were simply sensational, their energy, desire and quality was really high, Zayne completed a super quick hattrick with Marcel having a heavy hand in the goals with some fantastic deliveries. Marcel added his 2nd and Alf grabbed a double before another fantastic corner routine from Marcel and Ethan yielded another goal, with the latter attacking the delivery superbly to end a fast and furious half that saw the boys net 7 goals.

After great energy spent in 2nd third, the boys tired a little understandably, but they still added another 2 goals to their tally after Alf mugged a defender to score with a super left foot shot and Oscar's driving run into the box was finished superbly with a pass into the corner to continue their great start to the season.

9 ... Archie distributed the ball superbly to Marcel in particular with pinpoint accuracy, showed great hands and awareness to gather a corner and race off his line at a crucial time to deny a certain goal and showed great quality and confidence when receiving into his feet.

9 ... Logan had some super moments, winning the ball and playing out with quality and confidence, showing a hunger to score and an understanding of his role by taking on a long range effort and almost turned provider late on with a super cross.

9 ... Alf ran at Kiddy, showing great feet to get in advanced positions and scored 2 really decent efforts with his left foot in another great performance from him.

9 ... Ethan stepped up his work rate and quickness of mind to show great feet and fantastic decision making skills to assist Alfs third as well as continuing his amazing scoring record from corners with another one tonight.

9 ... Marcel showed great energy to press and get back to help the team, battled unbelievably for a little guy and showed great quality with crosses, corners and through balls as well as scoring another 2 goals.

9 ... Zayne was unplayable in a fantastic 10 minute spell, attacking some super service off Marcel to score a quick fire hattrick, showed improved confidence to take a shot on from distance and brought great work rate in patches to help the team.

10 ... Man of the Match Oscar, knows it's getting tougher and tougher to get into the team and responded fantastically to starting on the bench by coming on and showing great hunger and desire to win the ball back and protect Archies goal. In possession Oscar was looking to get the team moving forward quickly as well as being really postive to attack any loose balls in front of him and finished it all off by scoring the last goal of the game, which was so pleasing for me as I'm always asking the lads to find corners and when the chance opened up, he simply passed into the corner in style.
