Match report by Mark Andrews

Withymores ground was at full capacity as the away fans travelled in force to support the lads for the mid week trip to Stourbridge.

A little slack marking saw the boys concede 1st, but as always, the boys respond quickly with Marcel firing them level, before Ethan took full advantage of the space to turn his man and smash the boys in front, but Withymore to their credit squared it all up with a shot from distance that caught all the boys cold to tighten the game up and just as it looked to be level at the break, Alf rifled home a beauty to give the lads the advantage.

The message at the break was that we could still improve and the boys did in the 2nd quarter, the lads got tighter to Withymore and pressed a little better, getting their reward when Alf poked home to open up a little daylight between the teams after good work from Ethan, before Marcel added another with a super effort from Logan's angled pass.

Oscar's and Logan's pairing was working well with Oscar matching Logan's assist with a super diagonal ball, that Zayne somehow dummied into the path of Marcels run, leaving the little fella in loads of space to simply pick his spot, but the 2nd third did end in heart break for poor Ethan, who had his goal line effort rejected by the ref and despite calls for VAR from the fans, the ref refused to be swayed.

In the last 15 minutes Ethan did some great work to dance down the right-hand side before pulling a great ball back for Marcel to blast home and a little later Marcel recycled the ball back to Alf to finish it all off with a super strike.

All the lads did really well tonight.

9 ... Chris - Played some super diagonal balls out of his hands, talked well and made 2 great stops.

9 ... Oscar - Joined the attack well, smashing a early effort narrowly wide and played some lovely balls into the midfield and as always was strong in the tackle.

9 ... Ethan - Great feet to beat, turn and twist past players, scored a fantastic goal and could of had 2 if not for the eagle eyed ref.

9 ... Marcel - 4 great strikes tonight, finding the side netting with every effort and some super passing too.

9 ... Zanyo - Had some great touches on the ball and showed how much his understanding of the game has developed recently, holding some great postions and reacting well to the transitions.

10 ... Logan - Man of the Match - Only played his 1st grassroots game in the summer, but looks like he has been playing for ages.

Showed great feet to bring the ball out of defence and made some super passing decisions as well as communicating and organising the boys with a great calmness as he read the game very well.
