Huge Game Tonight
City travel to Sporting Khalsa tonight as 3rd take on 5th in Northern Premier League Midlands Division action.
Sporting Khalsa are 8 games unbeaten in the league and it will be a tough test for City, who, themselves come into the tie off the back of back-to-back victories with wins away at Long Eaton United and at home at the weekend against Shepshed Dynamo.
The two clubs are no strangers to one another following several battles during our time together in the Midland Football League. Unfortunately, Khalsa is somewhat of a bogey team with City not being victorious in 6 league meetings. The only City victory came at Khalsa's patch in the MFL Cup. Every run must come to an end at some point though, and City will be hopeful of that ending this evening.
Calvin Dinsley's lengthy absence looks set to continue this evening, as the influential midfielder is still recovering from injury. The midfield will be buoyed, though, by Nathan Hayward's return. Hayward returned to action off the bench late in Saturday's victory at Claines Lane.
