Worcester City welcomes Boldmere St Michaels to Claines Lane for a 3pm Saturday afternoon kick-off.
This will be the first meeting between City and Boldmere since the 2021/22 season when Worcester suffered a 0-2 home defeat in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
A goal from Alex McSkeane in either half was enough to give Boldmere the win on that day, in their route to promotion that season.
City will be looking to avenge that loss and make it six wins in a row in all competitions, and eight wins from the last nine games. The Blue and Whites will be hoping to keep a third successive clean sheet in the league and maintain their record of scoring in every home league game this season.
Boldmere St. Michaels have turned their form around recently. After going winless in six games, they have won their last two in a row without conceding to put them in seventh place in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
Worcester City are third in the table, and a win could see Chris Cornes’ side close the six-point gap on second-placed Corby Town and place some pressure on The Steelmen before they travel to Coleshill Town on Monday.
The Blue and Whites will be without Kyle Belmonte and Chris Cornes, who both sit out through suspension. Nathan Hayward, Calvin Dinsley and Izak Reid all remain sidelined through injury.
At tomorrow’s fixture, we will be celebrating our Youth Girls Day. All five teams will join for a halftime photo, and parents can meet Youth Chairman Dan Sullivan and the committee to discuss plans for girls’ football at Worcester City.
Tickets for our Christmas Prize Draw will also be on sale. The top prize of £500 is kindly donated by Anja Potze Fine Jewellery. Tickets are priced at £10 per book of 10.
All, Claines Lane (pre-book only), The River School and RGS The Grange car parks are available for tomorrow’s fixture.
