Your Blue and Whites travel to The Oval to take on Bedworth United in Northern Premier League Midlands Division action on Saturday afternoon.
The last time City and Bedworth met was nearly a decade ago in a 2015 friendly, where a goal each from forward pair Tristian Dunkley and Daniel Nti secured a 2-0 away victory.
It will be a big game for midfielder Liam Lockett, who returned to Worcester City in 2023 after leaving for Bedworth United in 2021.
City will be looking to claim victory against Bedworth to make it seven wins from seven in all competitions, since their last loss against Sporting Khalsa a month ago, and will be attempting to make it five clean sheets in a row.
Bedworth United have struggled so far this season and currently find themselves 14th in the table after 17 games. They will be looking to turn their form around, and make it two league wins from their last two home games, beating Darlaston Town back on the 9th November.
City sit 3rd in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division and a win could draw them level on points with 2nd, albeit Corby Town have a game in hand. This game provides a big opportunity for Chris Cornes’ side as second placed Corby take on fourth placed Sporting Khalsa at the same time, meaning the Blue and Whites will be hoping to capitalise on one or both of those teams’ dropping points.
The Blue And Whites are boosted by the returns of Adam Mace and Kyle Belmonte to the squad, whilst midfield pair Calvin Dinsley and Izak Reid remain out through injury.
Bedworth United play at The Oval, Coventry Road, Bedworth, CV12 8NN.
Admission prices are £10 Over 18s, £7 Concessions, £5 Juniors and free for under 12s accompanied by a paying adult.
