Worcester City travel to Marks Electrical Arena to take on Anstey Nomads in a huge clash near the top of the table on Saturday at 3pm.
Worcester were victorious at Claines Lane back in August, when the two teams last met. Defender Charlie Wise scored a goal in each half to help City to a 4-1 home win.
The Blue and Whites have put a difficult February behind them and made a perfect start to March, with two comprehensive league wins against Rugby Town and Lye Town respectively. Those wins involved Worcester scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet in both games.
Anstey Nomads have had a great season and are currently 5th in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. They occupy the last of the play-off places with games in hand on all the teams above them. Their last game was a 2-4 away victory against Bedworth United.
Worcester City’s recent form has seen them consolidate 4th place in the league and move within a point of Long Eaton United and Corby Town in 2nd and 3rd. Should results this weekend go in Worcester’s favour they could find themselves 2nd place in the table.
Anstey Nomads play at Marks Electrical Arena, Cropston Road, Anstey, Leicestershire, LE7 7BP.
Anstey Nomads ticket prices: Adults £10, Concessions £6 and Under 16s £2.
