City travel to Leicester Road Stadium to take on Hinckley LRFC in a 3pm kick off on Saturday for their first game of 2025.
The Blue And Whites have already played Hinckley twice this season. Both games came in September, with The Knitters knocking City out of the FA Trophy at Claines Lane, before City got a measure of revenge in the league with a 3-2 win.
The Blue and Whites will be hoping to come out with the winning record on the season over Hinckley and pick up where they left off after the resounding 5-0 home win against Grantham Town back in December. City will also be looking to return to winning ways on the road after going winless in their last two away fixtures.
Hinckley find themselves in sixteenth place in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division and will be looking to start moving up the table, hunting for their first win of the year after drawing their first two games in January.
City start their 2025 sitting third in the League, and due to fixture postponements and cancellations, they have gone from being one of the teams with the most games played to now having games in hand on the teams around them. A win against Hinckley could take them within two points of second-placed Corby Town and extend the gap to Sporting Khalsa to four points if they fail to win their 3pm games.
Hinckley LRFC play at Leicester Road Stadium, Leicester Road, Hinckley, Leicester LE10 3DR.
Hinckley LRFC ticket prices: Adults £10, Concessions £7.00, Under 18s £3.50 and Under 12s £2.00.
